I really, really love cupcakes. They are easily my greatest food weakness. Seriously, I have almost no willpower when it comes to them.
How lucky for me then that a friend opened up a cupcake bakery.
It is also not just a cupcake bakery. Ruby Cakes is a gluten-free, nut-free, vegan bakery (that features amazing cupcakes). My family is not gluten-free, nut-free, or vegan. We just love these and like supporting a friend (I’m also just writing this because I think it is great- I am not paid or given anything to write this post- I just got home from having a great time there).
Elizabeth especially likes the play area. The white board with markers is a hit. This is really special since she isn’t allowed to play with markers at home (I do worry that one day she will start writing on the walls there- darn Elmo’s World for giving her the idea).
Elizabeth and I spent about 2 hours playing with our friends there today. She was so excited with the play area and friends that she only managed to eat the frosting off one cupcake. That meant I got the rest of the yummy treats. At least I ordered the mini cupcakes.
I also managed to get the last baked chocolate donut.
I was nearly done before I remembered to take a picture. Yum.
What a sweet way to end the week.
